Do you think it would in the best interest of Baby Boo to be returned to her bio parents? I hated being put in that spot and really didn’t think I should have been asked (Hey, but I am not the judge). This was the one time I was glad to hear repeatedly, “object”. (Over ruled) I just sat there, so not wanting to answer and finally I was instructed by the judge to answer the question. I looked at the bio mother (this was the third time I had made direct eye contact while testify) and said “I am sorry.” Then stated that I did not believe it would be in the child’s best interest.. I sat across the court room looking at the bio mother with tears running down my face and her face as well. Knowing this was the truth.

Why do you feel that way? This was the final time I made direct eye contact with bio mother. I responded, “I do not feel they can provide her with the things I stated before that she needs. They are involved in an on again- off again relationship. It’s is not a safe or a lovely relationship, so, I told the court that I believe they can’t provide that for her because they have not done it for them selves. Things could change for both of them down the road but that’s not fair to their child, Baby Boo.”

These are the kinds of questions from bio attorneys.
They had a lot of questions concerning parenting and the children I have had (As they stated since I was being called an expert in parenting - My thought, “Grow up!”).
How many children do you have?
Are they foster children?
Why do you only have one foster child now?
Why did your other foster children leave?
On and on about parenting
Did you have contact with bio’s?
But you didn’t talk with them?
What did you talk to them about?
How often did you have contact with them?
