One of my two year old foster daughters endured sexual abuse along with her two older sisters from the mother’s boyfriend (possibly the two year old’s father). Sadly, the abuse had been reported to CPS on several different occasions by different people for well over a year. When they investigated, the girls would deny the abuse and for whatever reason CPS decided to let three girls continue to live with the abuse and along with their little brother also suffering neglect. Love Thursday – A Child Sharing Everything

For the first seven years of my daughter’s life, she was an only child. To be honest she was also pretty spoiled. I had a very difficult pregnancy with her and she was born facing a number of challenges, so she was my blessing from above that I would cherish, which means spoiling. We talked with her for a few years about foster care and adoption before jumping into. Love Thursdays Our Family Vacation

I am going to jump in and try the Love Thursdays. This is my first time doing this and I do enjoy reading everyone else’s. It was our first family vacation after being blessed with the adoption of our two wonderful additions. We had been wanting to take Allie to the coast, so this was the perfect opportunity for them to share a wonderful experience. After going through the journey of adoption (which has its ups and downs), we wanted our children to bond and make some unforgettable memories.
